Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa – “Scared to Be Lonely” – REVIEW

Good evening readers, for tonight’s blog post we will be discussing ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ the latest release from Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa.

The track is the first collaboration between the two artists and was released late January. In true Garrix style the track makes full use of beat drops and the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) influences are rife throughout.

The soft vocals provided by Dua Lipa compliment the instrumental greatly and this song is definitely radio friendly and I wouldn’t be surprised if it receives quite a bit of airplay in the near future.

Overall I will giving this track a 2.5 out of 5 star rating: mainly because although I enjoyed it it did feel like another generic radio-friendly pop song. However, I do think it was good to see Garrix release some new music and I look forward to seeing what he brings to the table in 2017.

The track is available on iTunes and all music streaming sites: Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal.

The official music video for the track can also be found on Martin Garrix‘s official YouTube page and I will link it here.

Until next time: stay safe, be happy and keep on jamming!
