The Chainsmokers: “Something Just Like This” – REVIEW

Good evening everyone…welcome to MikeyMix! Immensely popular (and recent Grammy award winners) dance duo The Chainsmokers have tonight released a brand new single following an appearance on The Brit Awards.

If you haven’t read my review on the groups last release ‘Paris’ I’ll leave a link to it here.

The 4 minute 8 second track features vocals from Chris Martin (front runner of Coldplay) and one thing is clear: they’ve returned to their earlier style of production. ‘Something Just Like This’ combines all the best parts of the hits the pair have released and they have truly made something amazing with this track.

The chorus is catchy, the beat isn’t too overpowering and the vocals give it a sci-fi ballad vibe.

If you haven’t heard the track I will embed it below:

The track acts as the lead single of the pair’s debut album ‘Memories…Do Not Open’ which will be released April 7 and is available for pre-order now.

Overall I will be giving this track 5 out of 5 stars as I cannot fault it and honestly love the song! If this track is anything to go by then I can just tell that the album as a whole is going to be superb and definitely a contender for further wins at the next Grammy Awards!

‘Something Just Like This’ is available for purchase on iTunes and available to stream on all streaming platforms: Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal

Until next time: Stay safe, Be happy and keep on jamming!!
