Hey readers and welcome back to MikeyMix! As you know I am quite the fan of hit reality competition show: ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and I have had the honour of seeing one of my season 9 favourites (Aja) blow-up a small stage…
I have once again been in touch with new and upcoming, drag queen specialist, events promoter team ‘Connor Matthew Productions’ and it’s safe to say they: “have not come to play, they’ve came to SLAY!!!” (to loosely quote Shea Couleé).
As the title of this blog post suggests: the team over at ‘Connor Matthew Productions’ have booked the sensational, exceptional, mega talented tongue pop and lip sync extraordinaire: MISS ALYSSA EDWARDS!!
For those readers who don’t watch ‘Drag Race’: Alyssa Edwards shot to fame in season 5 of the hit show (many would argue this is one of the best seasons of the show as it really set the bar for future seasons) and finished 6th after losing out to a lip sync battle with her (at the time) rival, Coco Montrese.
Alyssa quickly became a loved fan favourite and so was invited back to compete on the second series of ‘Drag Race’ spin-off: ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars’ in which she finished 5th place…BUT….she did give us one of the most memorable lip sync performances in ‘Drag Race’ herstory!!!!
Alyssa will be performing at the ‘KLUBLAND’ nightclub in Blackpool, UK on Monday September 4.
